The Ricky Retro was originally designed by Ricky Carroll and Justin Quintal to be a traditional style nose rider. It started out as the Justin Quintal model and was renamed the Ricky Retro with the introduction of the Black Rose surfboard line. The board has thinner rails to make it more responsive, but wider outline makes it a great nose rider. In the Black Rose line, this board is known as the Dark Horse with a few tweaks from the original model.
